Mary Schmedeke sent in a comment for one of the earlier postings titled Assembling Machines for Shipment (click here).
I had mentioned that I had not found any Inspected By tags yet for any of the machines or in the archives. So, I was naturally wondering why a tag was not included with the machine even though it was clearly assembled and operated prior to shipment. We know this is the case, since every machine came with a sample included in the cylinder. Much to my surprize, Ms. Schmedeke commented that she actually had an inspection tag. Not only that, it is quite verbose as you can see below. None of this modern-day one line tag information here!
The inspection tag ends with the now-familiar term found everywhere in the archived manuals – “…do not try to do it too quickly.”
